In his interview, Dr. Rui Loureiro explains that “the historical process of regulation in Portugal is like other countries, a struggle of decades. Only in 2003, Law No. 45/2003 was approved on August 22, 2003, which established the framework for the activity and practice of professionals who apply ―conventional therapies (TNC), as understood acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy, naturopathy, herbal medicine and chiropractic. ”
