ELECTROMUSCULATION

Electromuscular training, also known as muscle electrostimulation or passive gymnastics, aims to help tone muscle groups in isolation, in a safe and effective way. With practical results visible in a few treatments.

What is muscle electrostimulation?

Muscle electrostimulation (EMS) is the induction of muscle contraction through the use of bipolar low-frequency electrical impulses.

EMS can be used as a training and rehabilitation tool.

Its use is intended for muscle tone and strengthening.

The impulses generated by the equipment are transmitted to the electrodes, which make the muscles contract involuntarily in a controlled manner.

The result is similar to the actual movement of muscles.

What is the difference between electroweight training vs traditional exercise?

In traditional exercise with voluntary muscle activation (weight training, functional training, among others) it is almost never possible to work a large amount of muscle fibers simultaneously.

Elderly people, women, sedentary people and people with some physical weakness will have even more difficulties in performing more intense exercises.

Through the use of electromusculation technology, it is possible to stimulate the fast-twitch fibers (IIB) from the first session of use.

This increases the effectiveness of results in at least 70%, especially among those individuals who have little or no physical activity.

What are the main goals of electromusculation?

EMS technology is a very useful tool for:

  • Prevent problems caused by a sedentary lifestyle.
  • Prevent muscle wasting and resulting pathologies such as sarcopenia and osteoporosis.
  • Increase enzyme activity and the production of growth hormone (GH).
  • Favor the activation of the deeper muscles and improve posture.
  • Cellulite reduction and weight loss.

The electrical impulses can generate a level of intensity of muscle contraction that, normally a sedentary individual or who is not a high competition athlete, would never be able to reach.

Intense training generates an important increase in metabolism, resulting in an increase in the percentage of muscle mass and a reduction in the percentage of body fat, which start to be noticeable from the first month of EMS. They can be very relevant after 3 months of training or sessions.

There is a visible improvement in cellulite in areas such as the buttocks and abdomen and an increase in resting metabolism

Relaxation

Electromuscular training can also be used to relax areas of tension, pain or key points.

There are specific frequencies and intensities for this type of result.

EMS and weight loss.

It is a complementary treatment to electrolipolysis that helps fight sagging caused by fat loss.

In the postpartum period, it helps to regain muscle tone and reshape the body.
